Played with the 40-card Spanish deck (oros, copas, espadas, bastos) by 4 players in two partnerships sitting opposite. Each player is dealt 10 cards and the last card dealt — the «pinta» — fixes the trump suit. The highest trump wins each trick, otherwise the highest card of the suit led. Every hand distributes 120 card points plus 10 for the last trick; partnerships add declarations (40 for king and knight of trump, 20 for any other suit) and the first side to 100 points wins the game.
The 40-card Spanish deck: as (1), 2–7, sota (10), caballo (11) and rey (12) in oros, copas, espadas and bastos.
